Often presented herself to impressionist writers and artists under the influence of Absinthe, which they believed had been infThis lovely pewter spoon is traditionally placed over the top of a glass with a sugar cube resting on the delicate tracery of this fairy design. Absinthe (or other bitter beverage) is slowly poured over it infusing the sugar into the liquid.
Fine English pewter about 5 inches long.
