Viking Twisted Rope Cuff Bracelet by Museum Reproductions
The Vikings ostentatiously displayed their wealth and success in their dress and personal ornaments. Before the use of coins, these ornaments were also used as a convenient form of money. Our jewelry is inspired by the rich contents of Viking hoards found throughout Scandinavia from the 9th to 11th centuries. These treasures were often buried for safekeeping but were sometimes forgotten and left untouched for centuries.
Pewter with antique silver finish
About 8 1/2 inches in diameter, fits wrists up to 9 inches. Adjustable, though repeated bending can cause it to break.

Materials |
Brass |
Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc; the proportions of zinc and copper can be varied to create a range of tones from dull, muted gold to bright and shiny gold. Used for everything from jewelry to home decor. It doesn't tarnish and some formulations are completely corrosion resistant. Thin layers of brass can be electroplated over other metals such as pewter. |
Gold Vermeil |
Vermeil is a combination of sterling silver, gold, and other precious metals, commonly used as a component in jewelry. A typical example is sterling silver coated with 14 carat (58%) gold. To be considered vermeil, the gold must be at least 10 carat (42%) and be at least 2.5 micrometres thick. Vermeil can be produced by either fire-gilding or electrolysis. Today, vermeil is safely produced by electrolysis. It is very durable with normal wear but as with all plating methods, it can be worn away in reaction with some people or chemicals |
